Let’s Make Noise

What we do

Learning, participation and enjoyment for everyone.

Our activities combine structured learning with fun, shared experiences. Each strand of the programme offers children and young people with SEND a different route to developing skills, building friendships and growing in independence.

Communication

Speech and language therapy

Individual, goal-focused sessions supporting expressive and receptive language, speech sounds and social communication. Families receive practical strategies to reinforce progress at home, at school and in everyday settings.

Life Skills Initiative

Cooking classes

Hands-on sessions in which young people plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals. Participants follow recipes, measure ingredients, learn food hygiene and kitchen safety, and work as a team, gaining essential independent-living skills and the pride of sharing a meal they have made themselves. Kindly supported by the ASDA Foundation.

Life Skills Initiative

Work experience

Supported placements with local employers give young adults with SEND first-hand experience of the workplace. Participants develop employability skills such as teamwork, communication, reliability and customer service, strengthen their CV and gain the confidence to explore further education, training, volunteering or employment.

Everyday independence

Skills for life.

Money management and budgeting

Practical, real-world sessions in local supermarkets where young people plan a shopping list, compare prices, work within a budget and pay at the till. These sessions build numeracy, decision-making and financial confidence, essential foundations for independent living.

Social skills and community confidence

Guided sessions in real community settings help young people understand social expectations and navigate public spaces with confidence: queuing and turn-taking, greeting others, asking for help, travelling safely and respecting personal space.

Shared experiences

Fun days out

Two free, inclusive days out each year offering new experiences, friendship and lasting memories, with parents and carers able to connect with other families who understand.

Inclusive sport

Let’s Make Noise Cup

Our annual football tournament for boys and girls, raising awareness of SEND through competitive knockout football, with a final played at a Football League stadium and a day of celebration and inclusion for the whole community.
