PRIVACY & YOUR CHOICES

Cookie Policy

How cookie preferences, browser storage and optional features work on our website.

Your choices at a glance

You can accept or reject optional analytics and marketing categories, review your choices through Cookie settings, and choose whether to load the Google Map on our Contact Us page.

1. Who we are

This Cookie Policy describes the cookie and similar-technology controls provided for the Let’s Make Noise website. Let’s Make Noise is charity number 1212537.

Our contact address is Office 705, Avicenna House, 258–262 Romford Road, London E7 9HZ. For more information about how we handle personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website can store on your device. Similar technologies include browser local storage, which can remember information between visits, and embedded services that access information on your device.

First-party storage is associated with the website you visit. Third-party storage is associated with another provider, such as a service used to display an interactive map.

Session cookies usually last for a browsing session. Persistent cookies have a stated expiry, while local storage can remain until it is removed by the website or cleared through your browser.

4. Storage used by our preference control

The following entry is built into the custom cookie preference control supplied for this website.

Let’s Make Noise
First-party local storage in your browserRemembers your analytics and marketing choices, when you saved them and the version of the preference notice. It does not contain your name or email address.Your saved choice is recognised for 180 days. The stored record does not automatically disappear after that period; it remains until replaced or cleared from your browser.

Changing your choice replaces the saved preference. Clearing your browser’s site data may also remove it, so the banner may appear again. Preferences apply to the browser and website origin where you saved them; they do not automatically carry over to another device or domain.

5. Google Maps

The Contact Us page offers an optional Google Maps embed, provided by Google. The map is not loaded by the custom map component until you select Agree & load Google Map. You can choose not to load it and use the written address instead.

Loading the map connects your browser to Google and shares information such as your IP address and browser details. Google may use cookies or similar technologies. The storage used and its duration can depend on Google’s service, your account status and your choices.

The map choice is separate from the analytics and marketing switches. Selecting Close map removes the embedded map from the page. It does not remove cookies already stored by Google or reverse information already transmitted. You can manage Google-related storage using your browser and Google’s privacy controls.

Choosing an external Google Maps or directions link takes you to Google’s service, where Google’s policies and controls apply. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and information about Google cookies.

6. Forms and other website features

Our enquiry forms use WPForms. Information you submit through a form is separate from your cookie preferences and is covered by our Privacy Policy.

Form protection, login, security and other WordPress features can introduce additional storage or third-party connections depending on the features enabled. Any such technologies require their own assessment and appropriate disclosure; the preference-storage entry above is not a complete inventory of every WordPress plugin or third-party service.

7. Change or withdraw your choice

Select Cookie settings in the footer, or use the button on this page, to review your choices. You can reject optional categories after previously accepting them. The custom control saves the new choice and may reload the page to stop previously loaded, integrated optional scripts.

The control can only govern services connected to it. Withdrawal does not undo information already sent to a provider, and some third-party or protected cookies cannot be removed by the website’s scripts. You may also need to clear site data or use the relevant provider’s controls.

Closing the preferences window without saving does not change your existing choice. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

8. Browser controls

Your browser’s privacy or site-data settings can let you view, block or delete cookies and other stored data. The steps vary by browser and device.

Deleting site data can remove your saved cookie choice as well as other preferences. Blocking storage may affect some website features. You can still contact us by phone or email if you need help.

9. Updates to this policy

We will review this policy when the website’s technologies or purposes change. A material change may require updated information and a fresh consent choice. The date at the top of this page identifies this version.
